Clear books. Thoughtful advice. More possibility.Serving U.S. businesses and individuals

Good questions welcome

Let’s make the
unknowns smaller.

Understand how an engagement works, what to prepare, and where accounting, tax preparation, and advisory support fit together.

Getting started

Who is your service designed for?

Our service descriptions focus on U.S. small businesses, business owners, and individuals who need organized accounting and tax support. Before accepting an engagement, we confirm that the work, location, timing, and complexity fit the services available.

What happens in the first conversation?

We discuss your business or personal filing needs, current systems, outstanding issues, and priorities. The goal is to understand the situation and identify the information needed to propose a clear scope. A conversation alone does not create a professional engagement.

How are fees determined?

Fees depend on the scope, transaction volume, number of entities and accounts, record quality, filing complexity, and frequency of support. We discuss the proposed work and fees before an engagement begins. Cleanup and special projects are identified separately.

Do you offer remote support?

Work can be coordinated remotely when the engagement, access arrangements, and document-exchange process support it. Any location-specific or in-person requirements are discussed before acceptance.

Books & systems

Can you work with an existing accounting file?

Yes. We begin with a review of the software, access permissions, reports, and reconciliation status. That review helps determine whether the file is ready for ongoing work or needs a separately scoped cleanup.

What records should I have available?

Typical starting records include prior financial statements, bank and credit card statements, loan information, payroll reports, and prior tax returns where relevant. The exact list depends on the engagement. Do not upload or paste sensitive records into the public inquiry form.

Will changing accountants disrupt my business?

A planned handoff reduces confusion. We agree on the cutoff date, obtain your authorization for access or record transfers, clarify unfinished work, and define who is responsible for each period. Timing depends on record availability.

Do management reports provide assurance?

No. Ordinary bookkeeping, advisory models, and management reports are not audits or reviews and do not provide assurance. Third-party reporting requirements should be raised before work begins.

Taxes & planning

What is the difference between tax planning and preparation?

Tax preparation reports completed activity. Planning evaluates future decisions using assumptions and estimates. These services can be coordinated, but planning is not automatically included with every return.

Can you help if I received an IRS or state notice?

Tell us the type of notice and its response date without including sensitive identifying numbers in the inquiry. We first assess whether assistance is available and define the scope. Representation or specialized controversy work is not automatically included.

Do you provide legal or investment advice?

No. Accounting and tax work can identify questions that should be discussed with your attorney or financial adviser. Legal formation, securities recommendations, and investment management require the appropriate separate professional.

Is the information on this website personalized advice?

No. Website content is general educational and service information. The rules that apply to you depend on your facts, jurisdiction, and the relevant period. Obtain advice within an appropriate professional engagement before acting.
