Accounting & advisory services

A better rhythm
for every payday.

Give payroll a clear process, connect it to your books, and know who owns each step from approved hours to reporting.

Discuss your needs

The bigger picture

Built on the details. Focused on you.

Payroll combines people, deadlines, cash, and detailed records. When payroll data sits apart from your bookkeeping, discrepancies can be difficult to trace. A coordinated workflow helps align payroll runs, funding, general-ledger entries, and the reports needed for review.

We scope support around your payroll platform and the responsibilities of your team, the platform provider, and our firm. Processing, filings, registrations, benefit administration, and notice responses are not assumed to be included unless the engagement expressly identifies them.

Where we focus

Practical support.
Clear priorities.

Every engagement begins with a defined scope. These are the areas we can discuss for your needs.

01

Payroll setup review

Review the accounting connection, payroll calendar, opening balances, and the information needed to get an agreed workflow in place.

02

Recurring coordination

Set cutoffs for approved hours and changes, identify funding dates, and establish the review and authorization process.

03

Ledger reconciliation

Connect payroll reports with wages, employer taxes, deductions, cash movements, and payroll liability accounts.

04

Reporting support

Organize payroll records and coordinate agreed questions about periodic reports, year-end statements, and provider communications.

Make responsibilities explicit

An effective payroll calendar says more than when employees are paid. It identifies who approves time, enters changes, reviews the preview, funds the run, and confirms completion. New hires, terminations, bonuses, and benefit changes need a dependable communication channel. Your management team remains responsible for employment decisions and approvals.

Classification needs a facts-based review

The label in a contract does not by itself determine whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor for federal tax purposes. Classification depends on the relationship and relevant facts. State labor rules can also differ. Questions outside the agreed accounting scope should be coordinated with qualified employment counsel or another appropriate specialist.

A straightforward process

Here’s how we begin.

01

Map

Identify systems, workers, pay schedules, and existing responsibilities.

02

Coordinate

Set approval steps and connect payroll activity to accounting.

03

Review

Reconcile results and resolve differences as they arise.

A few common questions

Let’s clear
things up.

View all FAQs
Do you replace my payroll software?

Not necessarily. Support can be built around an existing provider. We first review the current workflow and whether the platform fits your operating needs.

Can you guarantee every payroll tax deposit?

No blanket guarantee is appropriate. The engagement specifies which party processes deposits, what approvals are required, and how confirmation is reviewed. Employers should understand their continuing responsibilities.

Can contractors simply be added as employees?

Worker status should be evaluated from the facts. Changing a software setting does not resolve all classification, registration, wage, or reporting questions.
